It's time to recognize the Age Groupers! This year the Subaru Sooke triathlon will give away fantastic draw prizes to Age Group participants including a dream package to the 1st annual Subaru Banff Triathlon on September 11, 2010. This dream package includes airfare for two from Victoria or Vancouver to Calgary, transportation to Banff, 3 nights accommodation at our host hotel The Fox and dining certificates to local restarurants. All athletes racing the Subaru Western Triathlon Series also get thier name put in the draw for a Blue Competition Bike frame to be drawn at the Banff event in September.

The air dates for the national TV broadcast of the Subaru Vancouver International Triathlon have been announced. Check out the battle between Ironman 70.3 Champion Magali Tisseyre and Ironman St. George Champion Heather Wurtele along with the impressive performance of Jeff Symonds. And see "Sully" and "Force", AKA the Greenmen, the 2 crazed Canuck fans outfitted in their green spandex costumes known for mocking opposing players, when they discover that they can't swim so they recruit Canada's best female swimmer, Olympian and current world record holder Annamay Pierse, to form the "Green Team" in hopes of beating Olympic Gold Medal Rower Ben Rutledge.

The shores of Vancouver were alive this morning as over 800 athletes from 10 countries plunged in to the waters at Jericho Beach for Subaru Vancouver International Triathlon - one of Vancouver's fastest growing sporting events.

This Sunday marks the 4th running of the Subaru Vancouver International Triathlon at Jericho Beach. Over 900 athletes from 10 countries will descend upon Spanish Banks to take part in one of Vancouver's fastest growing sporting events.
