London-Bound Olympians to Race Saunders Subaru Victoria Triathlon Brent McMahon Confirmed to Use Victoria Event as Olympic Tune-Up

London-bound Olympian Brent McMahon will be racing the Half Iron distance at the Saunders Subaru Victoria Triathlon on a relay team as part of his preparation for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

"After so much local support in helping me qualify for London 2012 I look forward to participating in a local race with all my supporters and fellow local triathletes," says McMahon.

McMahon will do the 1.9 kilometre swim and 86 kilometre bike portion of the event on June 17; the runner to complete the half marathon distance is still to be confirmed.

The Victoria Triathlon is shaping up to be an exciting event! 2011 Saunders Subaru Victoria Triathlon Champion Adam O'Meara, who recently won the Subaru Shawnigan Lake Triathlon on May 27, will be back to defend his title in the Half Iron event. Elites Nathan Killiam, Sara Gross, Lucy Smith and Wade Carlson will also be competing.
