Canada's first outdoor triathlon festival of the year provides a "Beautiful B.C." experience at Shawnigan Lake, just a short 30 minute drive from Victoria. Run on the breathtaking Trans Canada trail to the newly rebuilt historic Kinsol Trestle, with no pavement pounding your legs! A true west coast experience in one of the most beautiful areas of the world - the Wildflower of the North. Like Wildflower, the famous early season California triathlon festival, the Shawnigan event features: the first chance to swim an open water long distance (or Olympic, Sprint, and Relay!), a stunning scenic venue, beautiful trail running, great camping near the race site and a fun festival atmosphere. The event weekend festival will include live entertainment, food sampling, demonstrations, clinics, sponsor and local business expo booths, and concessions.

Leave a Legacy!

The South Cowichan Rotary Club volunteers built 12 km of the TransCanada Trail up to and including the area surrounding the Kinsol Trestle that is used for the Shawnigan Lake Triathlon! Your 2013 triathlon participation and accomplishment can become even more meaningful through the collection of pledges to help build and maintain local trails. Join us for the Camp Pringle Pasta Party!

5:00pm to 7:00pm: Camp Pringle Fundraiser Pasta Party!

• Dine with your fellow athletes, pros, volunteers and race organizers at the Camp Pringle Pasta Party - right next door to the race site!
• The menu will feature a delicious gourmet chicken lasagna, Chef Bob's famous mac and cheese, "gluten-free" baked spaghetti, Caesar salad, garlic bread, and berries and ice cream for dessert
• Coffee, tea and juice will be available and Merridale Cidery will be running a cash bar
