Long Distance National Championships

The Subaru Vancouver Triathlon has been awarded the Long Distance National Championships for the next three years! Ten spots in each age group, and four elite spots, are available for Long Distance World Championships! Highlighting the Spanish Banks Beaches, the spectacular urban cityscape of Vancouver and the stunning Coastal Mountains it is no wonder that this race has been rapidly growing in popularity. As the new home to the Long Distance Nationals, the Subaru Vancouver Triathlon will continue to draw athletes from all over Canada and the rest of the world. Being in Vancouver also makes this event the perfect opportunity to prepare for both Ironman Canada and Challenge Penticton. Along with the Half Ironman distance, the Subaru Vancouver Triathlon will continue to offer both Olympic and Sprint events as well!

Returning Olympic Distance event!

In addition to the famous Half and shorter Sprint race, last year an Olympic distance event was added. The event was extremely popular and will be returning for a second year in 2013! The race's rapid rise in popularity has been in large part due to the fact that it is one of the few triathlons in the world that will take place in a major city, yet has stunning natural beauty. The race has also been named one of the "Top 10 Urban Triathlons on the Planet" by Triathlete Magazine.
